Yahoo has always been my #1 search engine, and often disliked Google’s simple empty page. But as I used it more often I realized that a lot of people prefer Google over Yahoo. “Google it”, people may say. Yahoo has been attempting to keep their place high and improved a lot of things such as their GUI Interface (looks), etc.
One of the changes I’ve noticed was the centered logo. Yahoo moved it back and forth, but now it seems like they’re planning to stick with it in center. It seems like they’re in process of making changes again. If you press “Web Search” without anything typed, it used to lead you to a page where it asks you to type something. But now, it leads to an empty page with their logo and search engine only, similar to Google.
So my thoughts were, “hmm, Yahoo’s still popular, but I guess they’re trying to be like Google”
Take a look at the pictures below for comparison:
Yahoo

Who knows what they’re trying to do

oyeaitzkevin, regardless of which one’s more popular, they’re both popular enough to be worth “youknowwhat”

I think that it’s natural for Yahoo! to have to start taking some of Google’s strategy. After coming so close to being taken over and having their fanbase and stockholders’ faith being shaken, they have to borrow a chapter from the book of someone successful, and if it has to be Google, then so be it. |

Herbert, yeah. But even if Yahoo goes down in their competition, how low could that get? Whether it’s a big downfall or not, they’ll be still popular enough to be top search engines… Oh well

ooo as usual, online competition
which will prevail?
