WordPress 2.5 Released!

After long months of development on newer version of WordPress, a new 2.5 version has been finalized for everyone to download and use.

This update is one significant one because of all the changes that have been implanted.

• Cleaner, faster, less cluttered dashboard
• Dashboard Widgets
• Multi-file upload with progress bar
• Search posts and pages
• Tag management
• Password strength meter
• Concurrent editing protection

…and much more! One of the best thing I like about this update is the Tag Management because I’ve been a bit annoyed by inability to delete tag as easy as this new update brings. For more information, visit the official page

Michael Aulia, the admin interface looks great, and I’m glad that they’ve added option to manage tags.

I don’t know what to think of the update - I suppose I’m glad I updated, but I really don’t feel the GUI overhaul. It doesn’t seem very Wordpress-y anymore.

Herbert, aw you don’t like it? As far as the GUI is concerned, I’m lovin’ it. You’re saying that it doesn’t seem very Wordpress-y, I thought that’s an improvement rather. Well I guess it depends on your own taste.
