In my opinion, this piece of gadget catches my eyes instantly. Nokia’s 8800 Arte is a slide phone, which has a solidified sliding that will last for longer time. Compared to today’s typical thin cell phones, 8800 Arte is heavier than you think. But does not cause a problem? Of course not, because there is a reason for it, its looks and features

Nokia claims that all 8800 series come in an anti-fingerprint coating on the metal and the glass of the phone. In which fingerprints aren’t suppose to remain, but I hear that it collects it all over around its metal body. So you might want to carry a wiper or keep it clean. But in order to open it up, it requires your thumb to grab a point, which will then leave marks. Oh well.
The phone features a 2.0″ QVGA 240×320 pixels, OLED display with up to 16 million colors. Its 3.2 megapixel, auto focus camera with 8x zoom? I like it! But with its sharp resolution, it lacks a flash.
It also has 1 gb internal memory, which is pretty good for a phone, but yet lacks memory expansion.
One of the coolest feature of this phone is the “Turn-to-Mute” feature. For any incoming calls, it can be silenced by simply turning over the phone, screen-side down. How wonderful.
Overall, I love 8800 Arte’s looks and its features. I’d love to get it, but again, it’s costly. You might want to check out Exactmall.co.za if you can afford it =)
