Apple has recently announced several new versions of their iPod line at that are available in their Apple Store.

Apple iPod Nano
Touted to be the thinnest and most eco-friendly iPod ever. It is made from arsenic-free glass, BFR-free, mercury free, PVC-free and is highly recyclable. Features a 2" LCD at 320×240, an Accelerometer, battery life of 24 hrs (music) / 4 hrs (video), new UI, voice recording (when mic is attached), and shake-to-shuffle.

Apple iPod Nano 8GB for $149

Apple iPod Nano 16GB for $199

Apple iPod Touch The new iPod Touch is thinner, and features the Nike + iPod support. Features a battery life of up to 36 hours (audio) / 6 hours (video), built-in speaker, accelerometer and 3D graphics.

Apple iPod Touch 32GB for $399

Apple iPod Classic
Battery life of up to 36 hours (audio) / 6 hours (video).

Apple iPod Classic 120GB for $229

Apple iPod Shuffle

Battery life of up to 12 hours of audio.

Apple iPod Shuffle 1GB for $49

Apple iPod Shuffle 2GB for $69

So what’s the point of all this?

What hooks me up the most is the price . When thinking of buying a gadget, we’re always concerned about prices. But this sounds great. iPod Nano, which is now called nano-chromatic, seems to have improved the most. It looks great, and what else?

Built-in accelerometer and "shaker". Similar to iPod Touch and iPhones, the albums are shown similarly and things only got better.

Check out more details at Apple Store

Violence has reached the web and there are some web sites revealing life on the streets of what’s so called as "Killadelphia" stating inappropriately in public: "Bitchass didn’t show up… I know things will go in our favor."

After the incident of Nazir Gary’s death in Philadelphia last year, his co-defendant posted messages via MySpace. Speaking of MySpace, it was originally made for friendly networking, however, is being used abusively in some occasions.

Although its 24 hr help line exists to prevent any abusive, violent or inappropriate material, people have continued to post images of gang signs, drugs, guns and wads of cash.

"Killadelphia" is claimed to be many people’s hometown. Things like this may sound like a joke first few times, but it’s been excessively spread that investigators with police started to take actions.

MySpace says that it works with law enforcement agencies, however, it won’t stop people from filling up gang cultures in the web.

Major companies such as Sony, Samsung and other consumer electronics heavyweights have united to support a technology that could send high definition video signals wirelessly from a single set top box to screens around the home.

Thinking LCD, HDTV, Plasmas are great? Hear this out. “Wireless Video Signal Service“. Meaning, if you have a TV in your home, that TV will be able to access any source in the home, whether it’s a settop box in the living room, or the Playstation in the bedroom, or a DVD player in another bedroom.

Sony and Samsung Electronics, along with Motorola, Sharp and Hitachi, will develop an industry standard around technology from Amimon Ltd. of Israel called WHDI, which stands for Wireless Home Digital Interface.

As of now, it is planned to be done through high speed versions of Wi-Fi, however an issue of quality degrading remains without ability to compress the data transmission.

Who knows what our future television technology will bring, but streaming video signal wirelessly? It’s just awesome.

As it left U.S. consumer financing, Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Development Co. has formed an $8 billion venture in order to profit from commercial investements in the Middle East and Africa.

The reason behind this action is that state-owned Mubadala wants to become a top 10 holder in Fairfield, Conn.

Simply in order to raise one’s reputation and ranking, I suppose making such huge investment is necessary. But $8 billion? Why not feed the poor with that much…

Again, Wordpress came up with a newer version, v 2.6

Straight to the point, as I’ve upgraded it for this blog, I don’t recognize any significant changes within the functionalities. Having a newer version would logically mean that it’s better, and by looking at the new features, it sure seems so.

Take a look at this video regarding Wordpress 2.6

New features:

Post Revisions - Bloggers can now keep a track of all changes being made to their posts and page with the new post revisions feature just like the one found in Google Docs.

Wordpress Turbo - Turbo mode makes use of Google Gears and allows a user to save admin files on local PC. This helps in lightening fast loading of admin menu in browser.

Press This! - The bookmarklet is back. It enables for easy posting of content from other social networking sites like Digg, Delicious, YouTube etc.

Theme Preview - Now blog admins can preview themes for their blog before making them live to their audience. This feature was previously provided by a plugin but has now been brought to the core.

There are also some specific features such as word count, image captioning, plugin management, but it’s not really a major necessesity.

Download Wordpress 2.6

There must be countless names that aren’t taken for sure, but there are also so much that are in demands due to its short and wanted names. What happens to those addresses?

When you’re in a car waiting for something momentarily, typical people would leave the engine running and idling in a thought that turning the engine off and back on would waste more gas. I’ve always believed this controversy because it does make sense that turning engine off/on would waste gas like the way flickering light switch uses more energy than leaving it on. Gas prices have been rising significantly, and this question struck me as well.

However, it is NOT True anymore. Although this may not apply to those with older models before 1995 or so, most of new, if not recent, cars have specialized starter in engine which allows you to turn the engine on without much waste of fuels. In comparison, it is better to turn off the engine when unnecessary than to leave it on.

But this doesn’t mean you should turn off your engine in the middle of the traffic

AVG Anti Virus Free Edition 8.0 has been released for public download, and it guarantees to be better than their previous version, v7.5 This current new version has protection against spyware by a new combination of anti virus and anti spyware engine, as they call it.

One of the obvious good thing about this is that it is Free. Today my Kaspersky trial has ended and needed something to replace it for the meantime, or maybe for permanent use.

This free version doesn’t support proactive safe surfing, neither protection against keyloggers (which drove my computer crazy a while ago). Although this free edition would be limited of course, I suppose it’s better than nothing. Oh almost forgot, no technical support for free version.

All good for free download at AVG Downloads, but can you expect much? Time will tell =D

Even I wasn’t inclined to click it back then when I didn’t know about it.

Simply, it goes to the first search result of the keyword directly without seeing the search results.

Try searching “mirror google” or any related keywords on “I’m Feeling Lucky”, and you’ll see a mirrored image view of Google, which is hosted by another site, but it looks cool, =p

Comparing each three, they let you chat, talk, video chat, send files, and all the similarities. But is ooVoo just another clone of them? Not really. From my experiences of using ooVoo, it allows you to video chat with total of Six People, simulataneously. Since it’s mainly for video chat and video conferencing, its features are much better than other clients of course.

Video Chats

Record Video Chats

Video Messages

Video Effects

Phone Calls

Text Chats

Send Files…and more~

As of now it also includes 3000 free minute of phone calls, but it’s most likely to alter eventually.

From my experience, I like it…except the fact that it takes quite use of memory. Talking with 1 or 2 people? Fine, it’s smoothe. But when you talk with full 6 people, that’s when things get slow. I suppose it’ll differ on your computer of course, but I’ve noticed a significant difference in the memory usage

Overall, you should try it out - www.ooVoo.com

When we buy something, it’s natural that we’d look for something that’s affordable. Today I’d like to talk about a online store that I’ve been satisfied with for a long time.

DealExtreme.com has always been my alternatives where I was able to buy SO MUCH things at such low price. Long story short, things are mostly made in China, and it takes about 2 weeks for shipping. But worldwide shipping’s FREE, and countless number of products are at such LOW price. Need anything technical? Or even something most unexpected? Search it up and see for yourself.

Many may argue that these items are cheaply made. The quality is pretty good at least for the ones that I’ve bought. After purchasing an item, you can either upload images/videos, or write a review, and that gets you what’s called “DX Points” which are redeemable. The customer service is really nice as well, where they were offering custom orders.

It’s been a pleasurable experience in buying items from this site, and hey, why don’t you save yourself some cash and look around?

iPhone has always been a big hit along with the official announcement that the 3G capable iPhone will be released on July 11th, 2008. While everyone’s excited to get a thinner and more powerful gadget, there has also been a rumor that it may be smaller in overall size.

Foxconn, who’s known for assembling Apple’s products, may build 25 million tiny 3G iPhones.

The newest version is the third generation of this phone, weighing only 110 to 120 grams vs. first generation cousin’s 158 grams and running on 3G mobile technology. Adopting plastic casing instead of aluminum-magnesium casing largely brings down the gear’s weight and cost by nearly one third. In addition to weight advantage, the latest version is also more energy efficient and externally smarter. LCD screen on the phone measures 2.8 inches diagonally, a downsize from first generation’s 3.5 inches.

Who knows where time will take us?

Today as we face global warming and many environmental issues, along with increasing gas prices, the demands of driving has decreased over period of time. Due to such reasons, Hybrid Cars became one of the popular sellers. Long story short, hybrids store energy that are lost every time the car breaks (slowing down), and uses the energy in future hand. That brought many gadgets that notify the driver of their driving habits to save some mileage. But now, there’s more than what hybrids alone can do.

While Toyota is now known to have their “Prius” that has one of the most mileage per gallon, they’re planning to release another car called, “iQ microcar” in about a year. While being only 10 feet long, it’ll still offer four seatings, and it is said that it’ll most likely get a Li-ion battery pack by 2010, which will make the car even greater.
